Get your health back on track

Book discovery call

Hello,

I’m Jessica, a registered Nutritional Therapist and I specialise in supporting the health of women with intimate health issues, particularly:

  • Bladder symptoms including recurrent and embedded UTIs, cystitis, interstitial cystitis and painful bladder syndrome.
  • Vaginal symptoms including dryness, discomfort, odour issues, recurrent thrush and bacterial infections e.g. bacterial vaginosis or aerobic vaginitis.
  • Couples trying to conceive, who want to investigate and optimise their vaginal and seminal microbiomes.
  • Repair and re-building of gut health.
  • Peri and post menopausal symptoms.

I empathise with anyone experiencing chronic genitourinary symptoms; they can be exhausting and distressing, impacting every aspect of life.  I have suffered myself.

I help women get their health back on track, one step at a time.

In my clinic I aim to identify the root cause of a health issue - something not commonly done in traditional healthcare. There are many reasons the body can be presenting with ongoing symptoms, some of which may not seem obvious.

I recommend private testing when appropriate e.g. bladder, gut or vaginal microbiome, and for many the results can be truly insightful when it comes to understanding symptoms further.

Once I have a thorough understanding of an individual’s symptoms, drivers of these and a health history, I work with women to create a realistic diet and lifestyle plan to re-balance the body and help them feel more in control of their health.

No more UTIs and better overall health

I haven't had any further UTIs and have braved penetrative sex a couple of times, using the regime you recommended. We have made a number of the dietary changes you recommended and I feel I am eating a much richer, broader diet.

I generally feel much more energetic and switched on. I made it back to my hit class last week for the first time in months and felt good.

So all in all, it feels like a more positive picture especially for this time of year.  I really appreciate the support you have provided to date.  For the first time really ever, I feel like someone has considered my health holistically and listened to my concerns. It means a huge amount!

Significant improvement in bladder issues (Interstitial cystitis)

I met Jessica nearly a year ago now. I had long-standing bladder issues (interstitial cystitis) and was fortunate to have been recommended to Jessica for help. A few things have stood out over the months we've known each other. First, Jessica's genuine passion and commitment to helping. She truly cares, and that was one of the most important things to me, given that I had seen other practitioners in the past who dismissed or downplayed what I was telling them. Second, she's incredibly knowledgeable and knows her stuff.  Third, she understands the importance of calming down flares while trying to dig deeper into the root cause of why they keep occurring. With Jessica's guidance, I've tried a few different approaches. I'm not 100% free of symptoms yet, but I'm finally on the right path to getting my health back on track and have seen significant improvements in my symptoms.

I’m pretty much back to full health

Earlier this year I had a urinary tract infection which persisted in spite of taking 4 rounds of antibiotics. I was feeling very unwell and anxious. I contacted Jessica and she was very empathetic and caring and created me a health plan to manage and recover from the persistent UTI symptoms I was experiencing.

I really believed in the plan; I took some supplements and made dietary changes which really improved my health and I’m delighted to say that 4 months after contacting Jessica I’m pretty much back to full health. Jessica is very knowledgeable and was very interested in my overall health and I’ve learned so much about nutrition which I feel will benefit my health moving forwards. I’m very grateful that my found Jessica to work with and I would highly recommend her.

The tests helped me understand what the cause of my UTI could be

I started working with Jess a few months ago as I was persistently getting a UTI after having sex. I really didn't want to have to keep taking antibiotics, and I had tried various supplements to try and help which sadly didn't work.

I was frustrated about it all, and it was getting me down. Jess was not only hugely informative from the start, but also kind, empathetic and understanding - and wanted to find out what the route cause might be.

With guidance from Jess, I decided to do both a vaginal and bladder microbiome test - which really helped me understand what the cause of my UTI could be (Jess also thoroughly talked me through all of my results) which standard NHS urine tests were not providing me with. I also learnt a lot about other supplements which I could take to help me (and the doses associated with these), as well as diet and how this would help me in the long term.

I (fingers crossed) appear to have turned a corner over the last few weeks, so not only am I delighted about that but I have also learnt a lot which I can take forward in my everyday life. Thank you Jess!
